I will write something on Jeff (Malik) Fort very soon. His nation has its place in history alongside the great organizations in history. Unfortunately through the passage of time and stress the nation that Malik built has degenerated to nothing more than a street criminal organization plaguing the very community that it was created to aid.

I heard it once said by a powerful brother that change or revolution will not come until people are 100% dissatisfied with there current conditions. With that being said, I think it is going to take at least the next 100 years for a large quantity of African Americans to totally abandon this oppressive American system.

I believe the fuel that is needed to fan the flames of the revolution will start from the ground level. Meaning our disenfranchised prison populations, the masses of black youth who have very bleak out looks about their futures, the growing homeless populations of black men who can no longer find a job that pays a living wage, this list could go on and on… I think this is where the revolution will start. These are groups of people that are ready for revolution; they only lack organization and a strategic method.

The problem is there are far too many “African Americans” still sitting on the fence when it comes to this issue, because they believe they have obtained a small piece of the pie. (The “I’m not where I used to be” mentality) Then let’s not forget all the people who hold view points somewhere in between.

I don’t even know exactly where I fall on this scale, but I was only using my imagination…

I had that thought too but I just could not put them above Scarface, Ice Cube, Rakim, and Kris. It was a hard sell.

Tribe would definitely be higher on my list, because collectively, the group was ill on so many levels. Public Enemy would be higher also, just by virtue of the impact they had as far as educating people and really changing the game and the way people looked at Hip Hop.

Jungle Brothers and De La Soul would have to make the list also. Being a young'n I'd also add a couple more names but then becomes a question of who would be taken off of the list. All in all, the list is thorough. I appreciate it.
